CIL Masts

The tall mast on the right before the car park was a GPS (Global Positioning System) mast for Decca. Now it is a part of the Irish Coastguard network

The masts behind the Visitor Centre are connected to the Radio Beacon which is in the Keepers' kitchen in the Signal Station across the Bridge.

There is also a DGPS mast on the site as well. DGPS corrected intentional errors  in the GPS.
